Why can’t I buy a desk?
We are currently refining our flagship desk for larger production run, targeting early 2021. If you are interested in becoming a local early adopter, definitely do reach out.
What material are the desks made from?
The desktop is made from an environmentally friendly wood substrate. We use a luxury soft touch laminate for the work surface.
Where are CableTread products made?
We proudly make our products right here in San Francisco, CA.
Do CableTread desks work for any set up?
No. CableTread desks are opinionated. Each desk is optimized for for a specific use case/profession. Please do take the survey and let us know what your ideal setup looks like so we can build a product for your requirements.
Creation Story
CableTread was incubated within San Francisco based, e.ventures. Partner, Tom Gieselmann, recruited industrial designer, Nick Allen, to develop a "circuit board desk." Over the course of a year, they refined CableTread from concept to product. After winning the 2020 Red Dot design award, Nick started a company to make CableTread available to a wider audience.
